Caroline Turner: Building a family business in Warwick

After starting her career in England in 1998, she now operates in Warwick in Perth’s north and has gone from strength to strength after successfully mastering the different style of selling in Australia.

“I’ve worked this area since 2009,” Ms Turner said.

“We’ve got strong market share, and I’ve even sold some houses three and four times over.”

Today, Ms Turner operates alongside her daughter Milly who joined the network in May 2024.

The mother-daughter duo are building something special, with plans to expand their family business further.

“We’re looking at bringing my other daughter on board as a business development manager,” Ms Turner said.

“It’s really about creating that passive income and building something sustainable for the future.”

The Warwick market has undergone significant changes since Ms Turner first started working in the area.

What was once predominantly a 1960s suburb has evolved into a vibrant community experiencing generational change.

“We’re finding now that the older demographic is either moving on or downsizing to units,” she said.

“There’s a lot of younger families moving into the area now, which is quite refreshing.

“The subdivisions have aesthetically improved the area dramatically since 2009.”

What sets the Turner team apart is their comprehensive service offering.

“We’re a one-stop shop,” Ms Turner said.

“We offer staging, consultation, and project management.

“We engage painters and see projects from start to finish. It’s really a complete service.”

This approach has earned Ms Turner numerous awards and she maintains a strong presence in local community initiatives, particularly supporting the local Primary School.

The move to Area Specialist has proven transformative for the business, with Ms Turner seeing financial and benefits and more control over her time.

“It’s a lot more seamless process than working for an agency,” Ms Turner said.

“We can decide where we want to advertise, promote ourselves in different ways, and their branding is very clean and professional.

“The financial freedom is significant because we’re not having to pay the agency cut.”

“For someone like me, who’s been in the area for such a long time, the transition has elevated our status.

“It’s obvious to people that we’ve set out on our own, while still having that professional brand behind us.”

Area Specialist is a real estate platform for top-performing agents, providing the systems, tools and technology they need to create, grow and power their business.
