Brad Pitt's Bond-Adjacent Sweatshirt Just Went on Sale

When you think of Brad Pitt, you probably think of an A-lister’s A-lister, decked out in the requisite houndstooth bucket hats, freaky suits, and even the occasional skirt. As the legendary actor approaches 60, his style has gone delightfully wavy, and not a little wild. But sometimes (just sometimes), even one of Hollywood’s most experimental fashion plates needs to take it easy. And when those times come, Pitt reaches for pieces that skew decidedly more Average Joe than you might expect.

Way back in July, the Bullet Train star arrived on the track of Hungary’s F1 Grand Prix with a leather sports bag on one hand and an IWC Ingenieur ‘Jumbo’ on the other (with a custom dial, no less). Remember those taking-it-easy times we mentioned above? Well, grail-worthy accessories aside, this happened to be one of them, because Pitt was also wearing a perfectly faded crewneck sweatshirt from Sunspel, the heritage British label favored by Daniel Craig-era James Bond.

Rendered in a lovely shade of thyme green, the pullover is crafted from a kitten-soft cotton engineered to be as warm as a fresh cup of tea—sans the unnecessary bulk of a heavier sweater. (Little-known fashion fact: When red-hot designer Jonathan Anderson was the creative director of Sunspel for a brief stint in the 2010s, it was one of the first items he worked on.)

Plus, it’s a brand that Pitt genuinely loves. He wore its cotton-jersey polos during the Ad Astra press tour five years ago, and he’s been a big fan of its T-shirts since as far back as 2013. Better yet, right this very second, all that British-made, Bond-approved goodness can be yours for a little less than usual—including, if our eyes don’t deceive us, the very color Brad Pitt is wearing above. Happy new year to all.
