GQ Men of the Year 2024: Everything You Need to Know About Menswear’s Biggest Night

On November 14, GQ’s annual Men of the Year Party returns—and this year’s bash is a whole new frontier. The theme? American Rodeo.

To celebrate the magazine’s 29th MOTY issue, we’re gathering the most influential people from across the worlds of fashion, entertainment, and sports in Los Angeles, where GQ’s global editorial director Will Welch will be joined by a co-host crew of contemporary American pioneers: Dwayne Johnson, the iconic WWE persona turned larger-than-life Hollywood star; John Mulaney, the sneaky subversive comedian of our times; Pharrell Williams, the music maverick turned fashion shot-caller; and Future and Metro Boomin, the hip-hop ringleaders who orchestrated several of the year’s fieriest cultural moments.

We’re also letting you join us at MOTY live for the first time, with a brand-new red carpet variety show livestream that you can watch in real time both right here on GQ.com and on GQ’s YouTube channel. There will be huge fits to take in from menswear’s biggest, baddest, boldest red carpet of the year—plus, stay tuned for a special live performance by the chart-topping, Beyoncé-cosigned breakout star Shaboozey.

In 2024, we’re celebrating ingenuity and individuality in pop culture. And according to Future, this year’s bash is dual-pronged: “We’re gon’ double up—it’s gonna be my birthday party,” the rapper tells GQ. (For the sticklers, Pluto’s birthday is technically six days after our event, but who’s counting?)

What’s the dress code?

This year’s invite says Hollywood Western—think Butch Cassidy, Billy the Kid, or Cowboy Carter—so expect plenty of riffs on cowboycore, high-octane denim, and at least one ten-gallon hat.
