New community initiative donates transportation resources and services to underserved individuals in Albany and surrounding areas.
Hyundai of Albany has launched a new community mobility initiative in partnership with several Oregon-based nonprofit organizations to improve transportation access for individuals facing financial or physical barriers. The program includes vehicle donations, maintenance services, and mobility education for those in need.
Working alongside local outreach groups, Hyundai of Albany is identifying families, job seekers, and elderly individuals who struggle with reliable transportation—often limiting their access to employment, medical care, or education. The dealership has already donated two pre-owned vehicles and provided free maintenance for five others this quarter.
“Transportation is a basic need, and too many in our community go without it,” said the dealership’s outreach coordinator. “We believe mobility should never be a barrier to opportunity.”
The program also includes workshops hosted at the dealership, where community members can learn about vehicle maintenance, budgeting for car ownership, and securing insurance. Hyundai of Albany staff volunteer time monthly to assist in these educational efforts.
