We Can Never Leave by H. E. Edgmon (Wednesday Books, June 10)

This queer YA fantasy exists in a world where creatures are waking up everywhere, unaware of how they became what they are or where they came from. The Caravan is a group of these creatures who have banded together to help each other and their families acclimate to this new version of themselves. They travel everywhere together and have each other’s backs. Until one morning when five teenage members of the Caravan wake up to discover everyone else has disappeared.

Work Nights by Erica Peplin (Gallery Books, June 17)

If you’ve ever wanted a queer version of The Devil Wears Prada with a dash of Big Swiss, pick up Work Nights this June. Jane Grabowski works for the most acclaimed newspaper company in New York City. Frankly, her job stinks, but there’s one thing that keeps her coming into the office every day: the beautiful intern Madeline. Jane has never dated a woman before, and her feelings for Madeline are confusing. Things only get more confusing when she meets a queer musician named Addy. Addy seems fully ready to go all-in on a relationship with Jane, but the pull of the seemingly unattainable Madeline (who’s probably straight anyway) is still so alluring.

Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove (Bindery Books, June 30)

Sci-fi, spaceships, and vampires? Sign us up. Of Monsters and Mainframes is a queer reimagining of Dracula set in outer space. Demeter’s job is shuttling humans between Earth and Alpha Centauri, but there’s one problem: people keep dying on the journey. And they are not natural deaths. A vampire has entered the ship and is attacking all of her humans. Now to face off with Dracula, Demeter will seek the help of a werewolf, an engineer built from the dead, a fleet of spider drones, a pharaoh, and a vengeful vampire.
