The most recent bestseller lists have introduced a couple of new titles to this roundup. One is On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder, which has been rising in the ranks alongside dystopian novels, but this is the first time it’s broken into the top ten on three bestseller lists. Also new to this feature is Scythe & Sparrow by Brynne Weaver, the third in a serial killer romance series—its place on these lists is good evidence that dark romance has gone mainstream.
Several different Valentine’s Day kids’ books were also bestsellers, but because many of these outlets split kids’ books into their own lists, they didn’t make it to this roundup. If they were all competing on an even playing field, though, children’s books would often beat out the buzziest of adult books.

This list continues to have a lack of diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers you should know about are James by Percival Everett and The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
To get these numbers, we look at the USA Today overall top 10; Publishers Weekly overall top 10; The New York Times top 10, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts top 10, both Fiction and Nonfiction; and Indie Bestsellers top 10, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover. New additions to the list this week are bolded.
