Copenhagen’s NN07 has made a mark in the menswear space by largely eschewing flash. Their collections include the occasional lowkey statement piece, sure, but mostly you go to them for sharp seasonal staples and everyday essentials. Fracap, meanwhile, is a century-old footwear business, run by the same family for generations in a small town in Puglia. They are craftsmen above all else, specializing in stunning leather mountain boots. Together, these two brands rooted in utilitarianism and tradition have joined forces to create a boot that, simply put, absolutely freaks it.
The first fruits of this collaboration landed earlier in October and skewed far simpler: an all-black take on Fracap’s M120 boot with pops of royal blue in the laces and interior lining; a dependable boot, sure, but intentionally on the lowkey side. This week, however, the duo is venturing off the beaten path. The Mountain Sprezzatura, as they’ve dubbed this latest model, takes the reliable silhouette of the M120 and supercharges it with luxe materials and pony leather uppers.
