On Friday, at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, the actor who effortlessly slid into Bob Dylan pulled off yet another high-wire act: Pairing a mini Cartier Tank with⦠a second mini Cartier Tank. Hell yes. Just a few days into 2025 and we already have ourselves an iconic red-carpet moment, with Timothée Chalamet doubling down on one of the biggest watch trends of last year.

Back in August, teeny-time timepieces had become a massive thing for the industry. Cartier stoked the fire in 2023 with its diminutive Bagnoire Bangle, and Hublot and Audemars Piguet kept it roaring last year with the release of dantier spins on the Classic Fusion Original and Royal Oak, respectively. Now, Chalamet and his wispy mustache have demonstrated exactly what makes these mini watches so exciting.
